The piazza in front of the Clock Tower was turned into an eye-catching, gigantic shopping bag tempting tourists with the many offers of the Festival.  That the iconic Clock Tower was presented as a merchandise inside a shopping bag was a humourous reference to a city famous to the world as a shoppers’ paradise.  An adjacent musical fountain featuring a nightly extravaganza of sound and light was a marvelous addition to the fanfare.
