PolyU Booth at Inno Design Tech Expo
Exhibition
The idea was to create an intriguing space that changes incessantly by means of a moving curtain to heighten viewers’ interest in the exhibits — the work of young design graduates of the School. The moving curtain running on electrical railings created a space that is constantly being configured with the changing position of the curtain, making for a highly individualised experience because each visitor’s impression of the exhibition and viewing sequence of the exhibits is unique. Visitors were also captivated by the optical illusions formed by patterns produced by the moving strings. It was in such an intriguing spatial context and with a heightened sense of mystery and adventure that visitors discovered the burgeoning creative talents of the graduates.
This project is a Red Dot Award winner (2010).
Location: HKCC
Client: The Hong Kong PolyU School of Design
