While many events rushed to completely virtualized, the Hong Kong Wine & Dine Festival prioritized in keeping a combination of experiential elements in online and physical event to combat virtual fatigue, and to enhance the event experience as much as is achievable is the key.

In partnership with food delivery platforms and master chefs, we have created interactive cooking and wine tasting classes. Through the specially designed cook-along and taste-along kits, the unique and full experience on the delicious food and wine has been provided to the participants. While the delicacies and wine were certainly the heroes, 34 renowned celebrity chefs, wine critics and sommeliers were recruited to add to the appeal, without doubt that the festival has featured a fantastic line-up of programmes for event-goers of all ages to enjoy!

Nine participants were able to cook and taste along live in each masterclass via Zoom. This was made available through live-streaming platforms to participants within Hong Kong and around the world to experience the classes live on their own.

A major motivation for Wine & Dine attendance is direct access to knowledgeable chefs and sommeliers as you sip and nibble their delicacies. This direct access was recreated for all participants worldwide through live chat rooms with host and real time Q&A with experts.
