InnoTech Expo 2017
Exhibition
For the second year, Oval was commissioned by Our Hong Kong Foundation (OHKF) to coordinate the “InnoTech Expo”. The theme of this year’s exhibition was focusing on the contrast between ancient and modern technology with their application in our daily life. Exhibits were categorized and showcased in three different zones, namely astronomy, informatics, and oceanography. Numerous live demonstrations, VR and MR experiences were offered to enable visitors to truly immerse in the high-tech presentations.
Open forums were held in both exhibition area and seminar room where astronauts and famous scientists from China together with local scientists and IT leaders conducted experiments and gave talks on various topics to the public. There was also a theatre, in which various videos about science and technology achievements in different aspects of China were screened. The 10-day exhibition received over 110,000 visits.
Due to the limited setup time of fewer than 36 hours with more than 100 hands-on exhibits on display this year, more effort in preparation and coordination was needed. Detail considerations had to be given to select exhibits with the client that would be suited for transportation to Hong Kong. Precise coordination and sufficient on-site support with every exhibit providers were also required to ensure delivery of a smooth and successful exhibition.
Location: The Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre
